Music you can actually use. Every track here is cleared for commercial work and for editing — the two things a same-day edit needs and most "free music" quietly forbids.

SDE Studio ships with its own music catalog, ready to drop straight onto the timeline — no searching, no downloading, no crediting anyone. We commissioned and produced it ourselves, so you owe no attribution and there's nothing to clear.

Currently 29 tracks spanning nine moods, from 25-second stings to six-minute beds, so there's a length that fits the cut instead of a fade you had to fake. Included with any paid plan, on mobile and desktop.

Need something specific? Search openly-licensed music from independent artists. We only show tracks whose licence permits commercial use and modification, so you can trim, fade and mix without breaking the terms.

What the licences mean

"Creative Commons" isn't one licence, and the differences matter when you're billing a client. We filter to the two that are safe for paid, edited work:

CC BY — use it commercially and edit it freely, but you must credit the artist. Each result has a Copy credit button with the exact line to reproduce; put it in your deliverable notes or video description.
CC0 / public domain — no credit required at all. Rare for music, so treat it as a bonus when it appears.

We deliberately exclude NonCommercial (bans paid work — that's most wedding jobs), NoDerivatives (bans trimming and mixing, which is the whole job) and ShareAlike (can force the same licence onto your finished video). Licences are verified per track against the artist's own licence link, not assumed from a search filter.

You're responsible for honouring the licence of anything you download here. When in doubt, use the curated in-app catalog — it carries no attribution requirement.
